BAC Trip to Sun Peaks, Canada, 2023
Sixteen BAC Club Members ventured up to Sun Peaks Canada from Febuary 12-17, 2023. We had great ski in/ski out accommodations at the Sun Peaks Lodge right in the center of the Village. The Village is car free and one can ski down the main street to lodging, lunch or shopping! We enjoyed a welcome party at our hotel, Poutine tasting at Bottoms Bar and Grill, a happy hour at Morrisey's and a group dinner featuring German specialties at Powderhounds. Everything was in about a 3 minute walk from our hotel. Highlights of the week included long uncrowded runs and great weather. Sun Peaks is on the IKON pass and is the second largest ski area in Canada and in the Top 10 in North America. There was terrain for everyone and lots of our group took advantage of the twice a day mountain tours!
BAC Trip to Utah, 2020
Thirty-six BAC Club Members from Inskiers, Rusty Bindings, Snowchasers, Castro Valley, Modesto, Apres, Monterey, Nisei and Oakland Ski Clubs were treated to lots of fresh snow and gorgeous blue bird days on our 2020 Trip to Utah. We had 4 resorts to choose from – Brighton (many blue cruisers and trees), Solitude (some great grooming and fewer crowds), Alta (always a favorite with lots of off-piste and long runs) and Snowbird (a favorite for those who favor big terrain and lots of steeps!) Our trip included 3 parties – a welcome reception featuring nibbles, libations, info on the resorts and how to ride the bus and where to find our other parties - a fun and fabulous BBQ Bash at Bandits Bar and Grill; and our elegant farewell well party at the Market Street Grill. Our choice of hotel at the Hyatt Place Cottonwood made it possible to access both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons to get to all the resorts on our list.
