Skiing Fitness Clinic
Stone Research Foundation

BAC (Bay Area Snow Sports
Council) and its member clubs have been invited to attend a free Skiing
Fitness Clinic on Saturday 11/19 from 10am - 3pm in San Francisco sponsored by
the Stone Research Foundation with US Olympic Skier Eva Twardokens to help you
learn better ways to improve your fitness, to help prevent injury and to
increase performance on the ski slopes and beyond.
The Stone Research
Foundation is a nonprofit research foundation which hosts a number of free
educational seminars/symposiums like this to encourage the exchange of
information between athletes/doctors/trainers to prevent sports injuries and
to achieve prime performance.
The Stone Research
Foundation was founded by Dr. Kevin Stone who is an orthopaedic surgeon who
specializes in sports medicine with a special interest in knee and shoulder
injuries. He is a nationally known orthopaedic surgeon who was an orthopaedic
surgeon for the U.S. Ski Team for 12 years from 1988-2000 and has been a
physician for the International Winter Special Olympics. Dr. Stone and the
Stone Clinic have been featured in tv news programs and in articles in Skiing,
Ski, Ski Racing, Powder, American Fitness, ESPN.com, USA Today, and the Wall
Street Journal (see www.stoneclinic.com
for links to news clips/articles). Kevin Stone skis at least 30 days a year
and competes in ski races like the Pro-Am Director's Cup Race and the American
Ski Classic.
The seminar is free to
attend but spaces are extremely limited so sign up now. To sign up for the

EVA TWARDOKENS is a two-time Olympian, six
time National Champion,
1985 World Championship bronze medalist, and 1996
World technical skiing champion.
