Club Contact Training for

the 2006 BAC / DSUSA Ski For All

Each year the BAC and its member clubs conduct the Ski For All, a fundraising effort to support Disabled Sports USA and their Tahoe Adaptive Ski School (TASS) at Alpine Meadows.  TASS provides ski instruction to people with disabilities.

Learning to ski for a person with a disability is a powerful catalyst in the development of a positive self-image and a “can do” attitude.

DSUSA and the BAC are developing a partnership and are looking to each club for assistance.  We would like to have a contact person at each club.  This person would have the following duties:

1.                  Attend a 2-hour tour of the Tahoe Adaptive Ski School and a Ski For All orientation ~ “On Mountain Experience” on Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.  January 21st.  After the tour you will receive a lift ticket for skiing at Alpine Meadows.

2.                  Work with DSUSA in publicizing the Ski For All during your club meetings.

3.                  Sign up as many people as possible, from your club, to participate in the Ski For All by collecting support checks from their network of family, friends and work place acquaintances.  The goal is ten or more people per club.

4.                  Attend the Ski For All on April 1st at Alpine Meadows.  Ski free!

5.                  Attend a combined thank you dinner, evaluation, planning session to be scheduled next June.

Note:  Please click on our link to the Disabled Sports web site on the BAC site or go to www.dsusafw.org to learn more about this great organization.
