Nominate your outstanding club members for your club’s, and BAC’s, highest honor!
Every club has those that go above and beyond in volunteering for their club and other snow sports activities. Nominate your clubs finest for this great honor of being the BAC Man or Woman of the Year (MWOY) and the opportunity to represent BAC at the FWSA convention in June. Although at the Far West level, there is more focus on contributions to FWSA, don’t let that be a deciding factor in who your nominees should be – you should still honor those who have contributed most to your club.
At the Far West level, one overall Man of the Year winner & one overall Woman of the Year winner each is expected to receive:
5 nights lodging plus 2 5-day lift tickets at Big White.
Note: lodging & tickets are based on availability and restrictions may apply.
At the BAC level, BAC will pay the early bird 2011 FWSA convention registration fee of $149 and 1 nights lodging at the Pacific Palms Hotel & Conference Center in Industry Hills for the convention!
Typically, there are additional awards provided to FWSA and BAC Man and Woman of the Year winners – details were not available at ‘press time’, so stay tuned for more details.
BAC MWOY 2011 nominations (1 man and 1 woman, maximum per club) must be submitted by April 11, 2011 and typed using the honoree recognition entry form which is based on LIFETIME achievements. Nominees will need to complete most of the form themselves. Nominee interviews will be April 21, 6:30pm at Don Jose's restaurant, 3430 Village Drive, Castro Valley.

March 2011 Forms for club nominations will be available on the BAC Website and sent electronically to registered BAC representatives. Download form in Word format here. honoree recognition entry form MS Word .doc format
April 11, 2011 Nominations are due to the BAC (Linda Indreboe), either by email (preferred), snail mail or FAX.
April 21, 2011 A panel of BAC judges will personally interview the club Nominees. Judges are typically past honorees and from both Singles and Open Leagues. Interviews and club nominee dinner is at 6:30pm at Don Jose's Mexican Restaurant, 3430 Village Drive, Castro Valley, CA (map).
May 9, 2011 Winners will be announced at the BAC General meeting.
June 10-11, 2011 Council winners will compete for the FWSA Council’s Man & Woman of the Year award at the 79th Annual Far West Convention in Industry Hills, CA.
And remember, this is a great way to honor club members who contribute a lot to your club!
