BAC Directory Cover Photo Contest 2011

Win two free lift tickets to a Tahoe resort*
Do you have any great skiing/snowboarding photographs/images/artwork?
Winning photos have included skiers/snowboarders in various situations: powder, jumping, racing, family/friend group shot, etc.
The winner receives two lift tickets to a Tahoe resort*. Potential retail value up to $160. (* Tickets based on availability & will come from one of the participating resorts in the BAC Discount Lift Ticket Program: Alpine Meadows, Heavenly Lake Tahoe, Homewood, Kirkwood, Mt. Rose, Northstar at Tahoe, Sierra at Tahoe, Squaw Valley, or Sugar Bowl. Resort participation and resort blackout dates are subject to change.)
You may submit more than one
photograph/image/artwork which may show a skier, a snowboarder or both and must
be received by September 18, 2011. Please submit electronic entries with your
mailing address and phone number(s) to Scott Bowker (BAC Marketing Director) at
with BAC Directory Cover Photo in
the email subject line. If you are submitting multiple photos and the
total size is greater than 10 MB, split your entry into multiple emails to keep
under the 10 MB email attachment limit and add BAC Directory Cover Photo Part 1,
BAC Directory Cover Photo Part 2, etc to to email subject line.
High resolution JPEG or TIFF files preferred. If possible, please also send original, uncompressed, unedited versions as well.
The cover is a vertical format and the directory is 4.5" x 9". However, your submission does not have to be 4.5" x 9". If you win, your submission will become part of the cover design for the Bay Area Snow Sports Council 2011-2012 Skiers & Snowboarders Directory. Also your name will appear in the BAC Directory with recognition for the cover art and will be seen by thousands of people.
The winner will be announced at the BAC General Meeting on October 10, 2011. The lift tickets are expected to be available to the winner at the BAC General Meeting on January 9, 2012 or via mail if you do not attend the January meeting.
By submitting your photo/image/artwork, you agree to the following:
1. BAC reserves the right to refuse, edit, crop, and/or alter any submission.
2. All submissions become the property of BAC and will not be returned. All submissions may be used by BAC in all media including web, television, video, cd/dvd, print and other BAC publications.
3. By submitting photographs/images/artwork to BAC, you authorize BAC to publish same. Further, by submitting such photographs/images/artwork you warrant to BAC that any and all individuals have granted a release to publish that may be featured in submitted photographs/images/artwork. You also agree to hold BAC harmless against any and all claims arising from the publishing of photographs/images/artwork you submit.
4. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
